YOU NEED GOD FOR EVERYTHING
Everything that existed, and is existing owes its existence to the power of the Almighty God.
God created ALL things, the story of creation explains that all (Gen 1). And when God was done with the work of creation, He saw that everything He made was GOOD. He needed no one to give credit to His work, all He did was GOOD (Gen 1:31).
It is important to know that whatever we own, achieve, possess, or inherit can’t be, except it has been given from above. According to John 3:27 — John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven. The air we breathe, the life we live, the shelter we have, the family we’ve got, they were all given to us by God. We do not deserve anything, but he has given us all, He sent His only begotten son to die, for our redemption. Is there any greater love than this?
He gave us the brain to think and the mind to process thoughts, that is the advantage we have as humans, over animals. He gave us the mandate of dominion and multiplication in the book of Genesis 1:28. It is expected of us to multiply and replenish the earth. This is not referring to childbearing alone, it also talks about the use and multiplication of our creativity. As a child of God, you are expected to stand out wherever you are. You are expected to shine your light. The world needs to recognize you as a light. But that can’t be possible if you don’t shine. You need God to help you shine your light.
When you make God your priority, He will make you His priority. In everything you do, put God first, and you will keep your distance away from failure, disappointment, and confusion. A lot of people are living a helplessly confused life, this is traceable to godlessness. You can’t involve God in your plan without Him ordering your steps. Prov 20:24 says — A man’s steps are of the LORD; How then can a man understand his way?
If it’s not God’s way, it’s not the right way. King David, yet in his kingly splendor sought the face of God before he pursued the Amalekites. In 1 Sam 30:8 — So David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them?” And He answered him, “Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail to recover all.” David was humble enough to ask God questions, and there was nothing to worry about what could be right or wrong, because God doesn’t guess like man does.
Areas of your life you really need God:
You need God in all areas of your life. Specifically, you need God in your prayer life, academic life, marital life, decision making, health, etc. Kenneth Hagin wrote in one of his books, “God is a perfect gentleman, He doesn’t come into a situation uninvited”. God grants the invitation of those who seek Him wholeheartedly. Seek God today.
